Eric Taylor is an emeritus professor of child and adolescent psychiatry at King’s College London. He has researched neuropsychiatric issues – especially, causes and course of ADHD - and treated affected people, since 1971. He has been an honorary consultant at The Maudsley since 1977. He chaired the NICE guidelines development group for ADHD; serves as Chair of the Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health; and is also a Trustee of the National Academy of Parenting Practitioners and a Non-Executive Director of the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. His research won the Ruane Prize, for severe child psychopathologies, from NARSAD and he is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences. Publications include more than 200 scientific papers and several books.
