Anne O’ Hare
Professor Anne O’Hare is a consultant paediatrician working in Community Child Health and Neurosciences and responsible for tertiary clinics in paediatric neurodisability. Her research interests are particularly around communication disorders in children including autism spectrum disorders and specific language impairment along with wider interests in some of the comorbid conditions affecting motor skills and visual function. Her research output includes over 50 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters and distance learning programmes on the brain and learning for higher specialist trainees in paediatric neurology and neurodisability. She is Honorary Professor in Child Life & Health, University of Edinburgh and Honorary Professor of Speech Sciences at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. She was recently Vice Chairman of SIGN Guidelines 98 that addressed the diagnosis, assessment and clinical intervention in autism.
